Genel Cerrahide Cerrahi Morbiditesi Nedeniyle Terkedilmiş Ameliyatlar
Özet
İnsanlar çok eskilerden beri özellikle dışarıdan görülebilecek olan hastalıklar için çeşitli tedavi yöntemleri denemişlerdir. Bir zamanlar yaygın olarak uygulanan birçok cerrahi teknik, tıbbi bilgi ve teknolojideki gelişmelerin yanı sıra hasta sonuçları ve komplikasyonlarının daha iyi anlaşılması nedeniyle terk edilmiştir. Eski cerrahi teknikler, cerrahinin temel prensiplerini ortaya koymuş bunun yanında çeşitli cerrahi alet ve prosedürleri tanıtarak modern tıbbın gelişimine önemli katkılar sağlamıştır. Şu an kullanmış olduğumuz ideal cerrahi teknikler oluşana kadar mortalite ve morbiditesi yüksek birçok cerrahi teknikler denenmiştir.
Bu bölümde genel cerrahide şuan yapmış olduğumuz bazı ameliyatların tarihsel süreçteki gelişiminden bahsedilecektir.
