This study evaluates the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education model in terms of music education, addressing the evolving workforce demands of the 21st century and Industry 4.0. Created by integrating the arts into the traditional STEM framework, STEAM aims to foster individuals who possess technical competencies alongside creativity, critical thinking, sensitivity, and holistic problem-solving skills. Music is naturally connected to STEAM disciplines through the physical principles of sound, mathematical foundations of scales and harmony, and modern music technologies. Additionally, STEAM music education nurtures vital life and career competencies, including creative expression, critical analysis, effective communication, adaptability, self-direction, intercultural understanding, and democratic leadership. Within this pedagogical approach, the teacher serves as a supportive guide rather than a sole provider of information, encouraging students to actively construct their knowledge through design thinking, play, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving. Consequently, revising traditional curricula and enhancing teacher competencies to align with STEAM principles is essential for preparing future generations to meet complex modern demands.
