Topikal Retinoidler: Retinol, retinaldehit, retinil esterleri

Özet

Topikal retinoidlerden; retinol, retinaldehit ve retinil esterleri genellikle akne, hiperpigmentasyon ve fotoyaşlanma endikasyonlarında kullanılmaktadır. Bu moleküllerin lipofilik yapıları, irritan etkilerinin görece az olması ve ön ilaç olmaları FDA (Food and Drug Administration) onayı olmaksızın kozmesötik formülasyonlara eklenebilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Retinol ve retinil palmitat (en sık kullanılan retinil esteri) daha ucuz ve güvenli olmaları nedeniyle kozmetik ürünlerde en sık kullanılan ürünlerdendir.
