Bitlis Kalesi Kazısı Tütün Lüleleri (2011-2015)

Bitlis Kalesi Kazısı Tütün Lüleleri (2011-2015) adlı kitap, Bitlis Kalesi'nde yapılan arkeolojik kazılar sırasında bulunan tütün lülelerini incelemektedir. Tütünün Osmanlı döneminde kullanılmaya başlandığı ve halk arasında hızla yayıldığı bilinmektedir. Kitap, lülelerin tipoloji, malzeme-teknik ve bezeme özelliklerini ele alarak bölgenin kültürel alt yapısının lüleler üzerinde nasıl yansıdığını göstermektedir. Bitlis Kalesi'nde yapılan kazılarda 517 lüle bulunmuş ve bu çalışmada 155 örnek incelenmiştir. Kitap, lülelerin tarihçesini, kullanım şekillerini ve Osmanlı dönemindeki önemini de ele almaktadır. Bu çalışma, Bitlis Kalesi'ndeki lüle kullanımının yoğun olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ancak Osmanlı döneminin sona ermesiyle birlikte lüle kullanımının azaldığı ve unutulduğu görülmektedir. Kitap, bu unutulan halk sanatı ürünlerini gün yüzüne çıkarmaktadır. Çalışmada, kazı çalışmalarına destek verenlere ve kitabın hazırlanmasında emeği geçenlere teşekkür edilmektedir.

The book titled \"Excavation of Bitlis Castle: Tobacco Pipes (2011-2015)\" examines the tobacco pipes found during the archaeological excavations at Bitlis Castle. It is known that tobacco started to be used during the Ottoman period and rapidly spread among the people. The book discusses the typology, material-technical features, and ornamentation characteristics of the pipes, demonstrating how the cultural infrastructure of the region is reflected in the pipes. A total of 517 pipes were found during the excavations at Bitlis Castle, and this study examines 155 samples. The book also addresses the history, usage patterns, and significance of pipes during the Ottoman period. This study reveals the intensive use of pipes in Bitlis Castle. However, it is observed that the use of pipes decreased and was forgotten with the end of the Ottoman period. The book brings these forgotten folk art products to light. The acknowledgments section expresses gratitude to those who supported the excavation work and contributed to the preparation of the book.
