This book discusses the analysis of the Turkish logistics sector and alternative transportation models. The author emphasizes the importance of services such as customer service, customs clearance, insurance, transportation, storage, distribution, packaging, labeling, and handling in the logistics sector. It is pointed out that in the competitive environment of the global economy, transportation with speed and cost-effectiveness has become crucial. The transition to the global economy and the planning of production in different countries by manufacturers have led to the complexity of logistics activities and the growth of the logistics market. It is stated that road transportation is preferred because it enables fast transportation from door to door. However, it is mentioned that road transportation becomes uneconomical as the distance increases. This book analyzes the current situation of the Turkish logistics sector and presents alternative transportation models.
