Dijital Çağda Yol Almak: Dijital Okuryazarlığın Temelleri ve Sınırları

Özet

Dijital okuryazarlık, 1990’ların sonlarında Paul Gilster tarafından dijital ortamlarda sunulan bilgiyi yorumlama ve kullanma yetkinliği olarak tanımlanmış, zamanla bilişsel, teknik ve sosyo-duygusal bileşenleri kapsayan çok boyutlu bir kavrama dönüşmüştür. Günümüzde bu kavram yalnızca teknik becerilerle sınırlı olmayıp eleştirel düşünme, dijital bilgi üretme, etik paylaşım, dijital yurttaşlık ve toplumsal farkındalık gibi çağdaş yetkinlikleri de içermektedir. Bu genişleyen çerçeve, dijital okuryazarlığın bireylerin eğitimde fırsat eşitliği ve mesleki yeterlilikler kazanmasında önemli bir rol oynadığını ortaya koymaktadır. Martin ve Grudziecki’nin önerdiği üç aşamalı model—dijital yeterlik, dijital kullanım ve dijital dönüşüm—dijital okuryazarlığın gelişimsel ve süreç odaklı doğasını vurgulamaktadır. Ayrıca, dijital okuryazarlığın bilgi, görsel, medya, iletişim, BİT ve teknolojik okuryazarlık gibi alt bileşenlerden oluştuğu; bu bileşenlerin bütüncül bir eğitim yaklaşımıyla desteklenmesi gerektiği belirtilmektedir. Dijital okuryazarlık sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleriyle de doğrudan ilişkilidir. Dijital bilgiye erişim ve bu bilgiyi anlamlı şekilde kullanma becerisi, toplumsal kapsayıcılığı, sağlık okuryazarlığını ve yerel düzeyde sorun çözme kapasitelerini artırmaktadır. Eğitimde dijital okuryazarlığın pedagojik yenilikle entegrasyonu, özellikle yerel değerlere dayalı müfredatlarda öğrenme kalitesini artırmakta ve kültürel sürdürülebilirliğe katkı sunmaktadır. Özellikle okul öncesi dönemde dijital hikâyeleştirme, yapay zekâ destekli içerikler ve mobil öğrenme araçlarının kullanımı; çocukların çevresel farkındalık, yaratıcılık ve dijital iletişim becerilerinin gelişimini desteklemektedir. Ancak bu süreçte öğretmenlerin dijital yeterliliklerinin artırılması, teknolojik eşitsizliklerin azaltılması ve pedagojik dengelerin gözetilmesi kritik önem taşımaktadır. Sonuç olarak dijital okuryazarlık, çağdaş eğitim sistemlerinde hem bireysel gelişim hem de sürdürülebilir toplumsal yapıların inşasında temel bir kaldıraç işlevi görmektedir. Dijital yetkinliklerin pedagojik, kültürel ve etik bir yaklaşımla eğitim sistemlerine entegrasyonu, kapsayıcı ve dirençli bir öğrenme ekosisteminin anahtarıdır.
