Biyolojik Risk Etmenleri
Özet
Biyolojik risk etmenleri, birçok iş yerinde çalışan sağlığını tehdit eden önemli mesleki tehlikeler arasında yer almaktadır. Bakteriler, virüsler, mantarlar ve parazitlerden oluşan biyolojik etkenler; sağlık hizmetleri, laboratuvarlar, gıda üretimi, tarım ve hayvancılık ile atık yönetimi gibi çeşitli sektörlerde enfeksiyonlar, alerjik hastalıklar ve toksik etkiler dahil olmak üzere ciddi ve çok boyutlu sağlık sorunlarına yol açabilmektedir. Bu bölümde, biyolojik etkenlerin tanımı, özellikleri ve yasal çerçevesi açıklanmakta ve mikroorganizma türlerine ve risk gruplarına göre gerçekleştirilen sınıflandırmalar ayrıntılı biçimde incelenmektedir. Ayrıca biyolojik etkenlerin yayılım mekanizmalarının anlaşılmasında temel bir yaklaşım olan enfeksiyon zinciri ile maruziyetin önlenmesine yönelik kontrol hiyerarşisi ilkeleri ele alınmaktadır. Biyolojik risklerin yönetiminde mühendislik ve idari kontrol önlemlerinin, kişisel koruyucu donanımların, sağlık gözetimi uygulamalarının ve çalışan eğitimlerinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır.
