Kulak Hastalıkları
Özet
Evcil hayvanlarda kulak; dış, orta ve iç kulak olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşur ve işitme ile denge fonksiyonlarını sağlar. Kulak hastalıkları travmatik, enfeksiyöz, inflamatuar ve neoplastik nedenlerle gelişebilir ve çoğu zaman birbiriyle ilişkili süreçler içerir.
Kulak kepçesi hematomu genellikle travmaya bağlıdır ve tedavide drenaj ile deri-kıkırdak appozisyonunun sağlanması esastır. Otitis externa en yaygın kulak hastalığıdır; primer, predispozan ve kalıcı faktörlerin etkileşimi sonucu oluşur ve temel tedavi topikal uygulamalardır. Kronik veya dirençli vakalarda cerrahi yöntemlere başvurulur. Otitis media çoğunlukla kronik dış kulak enfeksiyonlarının komplikasyonudur ve medikal tedavi ile yönetilir; yanıt alınamayan olgularda cerrahi girişim gerekebilir. Otitis interna ise genellikle otitis medianın ilerlemesi sonucu gelişir ve vestibüler belirtilerle seyreder. Başarılı tedavi; doğru tanı, altta yatan nedenlerin belirlenmesi ve uygun medikal ya da cerrahi yaklaşımın zamanında uygulanmasına bağlıdır.
