Ağız Boşluğunun Hastalıkları
Özet
Ağız mukozasının kronik yangısı olan stomatitis; bakteri, virüs, mantar ve diğer etkenlerle oluşabilir ve ağız yaraları, ağrı, iştahsızlık, kilo kaybı, aşırı salivasyon ve ağız kokusu gibi belirtilerle seyreder. Gingivitis plak ve tartar birikimine bağlı dişeti yangısıdır; ilerlerse periodontitise ve diş kaybına neden olabilir. Akut nekrotizan ülseratif gingivitis nadir fakat şiddetlidir. Diş çürüğü mikroorganizmaların karbonhidratları metabolize etmesiyle oluşur ve sistemik enfeksiyonlara zemin hazırlayabilir. Konjenital anomaliler (yarık damak/dudak, oronazal fistül) beslenme ve solunum sorunlarına yol açabilir ve çoğunlukla cerrahi tedavi gerektirir. Dil hastalıkları; glossitis, travmatik yaralar, felç ve ülserleri içerir. Ağız tümörleri özellikle köpeklerde daha yaygındır; tanı biyopsi ile konur. Tükürük bezi hastalıkları arasında pityalizm, mukosel, adenitis ve taş oluşumu yer alır. Tedavi, altta yatan nedene yönelik medikal veya cerrahi yaklaşımları içerir.
