Auditory rehabilitation is a dynamic intervention field that holistically addresses the multidimensional effects of hearing loss on cognitive, socio-emotional, and social functioning. This chapter examines the conceptual framework based on the WHO ICF model, explaining Boothroyd's four core components —sensory management, instruction, auditory training, and counseling— and Erber's auditory perception hierarchy. It is emphasized that effective rehabilitation begins with rigorous assessment and is shaped by a person-centered approach.
