Barriers encountered by women from vulnerable groups during the perinatal period create significant inequalities in access to health services and directly affect the quality of maternal health care. The intersection of factors such as migration, disability, ethnic minority status, gender inequality, and discrimination places these women at increased risk throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Language barriers, cultural insensitivity, and political and legal uncertainties further exacerbate these challenges by limiting women’s participation in care processes and restricting their access to essential health services. In this context, the provision of culturally sensitive, human rights–based sexual and reproductive health services, alongside respectful maternity care, is crucial not only for supporting positive birth experiences for women but also for contributing to the development of a more equitable, inclusive, and accessible health care system at the societal level.
