Saygılı Bakımın Evrensel İnsan Hakları İle İlişkisi, Kadının Doğumdaki Temel Hakları: Onur, Özerklik ve Güvenlik
Özet
Saygılı annelik bakımı, gebelik, doğum ve doğum sonrası dönemde kadınların insan onuruna saygılı, ayrımcılıktan uzak, mahremiyet ve özerklik haklarının korunduğu, etik ve insan hakları temelli bir bakım yaklaşımıdır. Bu bölümde, saygılı annelik bakımının evrensel insan hakları ile ilişkisi, kadının doğumdaki temel hakları, saygısız ve kötü muamele biçimleri, saygılı bakımın uygulanmasını etkileyen faktörler ile uluslararası ve ulusal düzeyde yürütülen girişimler ele alınmıştır. Evrensel İnsan Hakları Bildirgesi, Ekonomik, Sosyal ve Kültürel Haklar Uluslararası Sözleşmesi ve Kadınlara Karşı Her Türlü Ayrımcılığın Önlenmesi Sözleşmesi gibi uluslararası belgeler, kadınların sağlık hizmetlerine eşit, güvenli ve saygılı biçimde erişim hakkını güvence altına almaktadır. Saygılı annelik bakımı; bilgilendirilmiş onam, mahremiyetin korunması, özerkliğe saygı, ayrımcılığın önlenmesi ve sürekli destek sağlanması gibi temel unsurları içermektedir. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü ve diğer uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından geliştirilen rehberler ve ulusal düzeyde yürütülen yasal ve kurumsal düzenlemeler, saygılı bakımın yaygınlaştırılmasını desteklemektedir. Sonuç olarak saygılı annelik bakımı, kadınların temel haklarının korunması, bakım kalitesinin artırılması ve anne ile yenidoğan sağlığının iyileştirilmesi açısından sağlık hizmetlerinin vazgeçilmez bir bileşenidir.
Respectful maternal care is an ethical and human rights-based approach to care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period that respects women's dignity, is free from discrimination, and protects their rights to privacy and autonomy. This section examines the relationship between respectful maternal care and universal human rights, women's fundamental rights during childbirth, forms of disrespectful and abusive treatment, factors affecting the implementation of respectful care, and initiatives undertaken at international and national levels. International documents such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women guarantee women's right to equal, safe, and respectful access to health services. Respectful maternal care includes fundamental elements such as informed consent, protection of privacy, respect for autonomy, prevention of discrimination, and the provision of continuous support. Guidelines developed by the World Health Organization and other international organizations, as well as national legal and institutional arrangements, support the widespread adoption of respectful care. In conclusion, respectful maternal care is an indispensable component of healthcare services in terms of protecting women's fundamental rights, improving the quality of care, and enhancing the health of both mother and newborn.
