Hızlı Progresyon Gösteren Descending Nekrotizan Mediastinit Olgusu: Yoğun Bakım Süreci ve Mortalite

Yazarlar

Mediastinitis is a rare but life-threatening condition with high mortality, requiring urgent surgical intervention. In this case report, we present a patient who developed deep neck infection and mediastinitis after a peritonsillar abscess, underwent surgical drainage, but died despite all intensive efforts. This case highlights the aggressive progression of the infection and the need for timely surgical and intensive care management.
