Surgery has historically been considered one of the most critical areas of medicine and has made significant advances with the development of modern medicine. While surgical treatment is successful in patients undergoing surgery, psychological problems often arise before and after the procedure. Traditional and complementary medical practices are increasingly being chosen to accelerate post-surgical recovery, reduce side effects, and improve patients' overall well-being. When used in conjunction with surgical interventions, they provide positive effects such as shorter hospital stays, reduced post-operative pain, and reduced stress levels. Flower Therapy - Flower or Bach Flower Therapy is a traditional and complementary medicine practice that uses the vibrational essence of flowers to support psychological well-being. Bach flower remedies are energetic essences derived from flowers that aim to transform negative mental and emotional states into positive ones. This therapeutic approach, used in surgical nursing, can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and other psychosomatic disorders. The use of flower therapy in surgery has been particularly explored for stress reduction, pain relief, and post-operative recovery. This section aims to contribute to the scientific nursing literature by investigating the effects of flower therapy in reducing pain and anxiety in surgical patients, its role in relieving surgical symptoms, its scientific basis, and its clinical effectiveness.
