Surgical nursing, as an integral part of modern surgical care processes, requires the integration of traditional and complementary medicine practices into care plans based on controlled and evidence-based research findings, while also expanding its areas of expertise. Efforts to positively influence patient outcomes, the journey of traditional and complementary medicine practices in surgical patient care from ancient times to the present day, clinical research, and the integration of patient outcomes into modern care processes stand out as an important area of research and practice in today's evidence-based surgical nursing literature.
