Özet
Bilimsel araştırmaların kalitesinin ve güvenilirliğinin sağlanmasında hakem değerlendirmesi (peer review) temel bir mekanizma olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu süreç, elde edilen araştırma bulgularının klinik karar alma süreçlerini ve tıbbi uygulamaları doğrudan etkileyebilmesi nedeniyle özellikle tıp bilimlerinde büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu makalede, hakemlerin yorum ve önerilerine nasıl hedefe yönelik ve mantıksal temellere dayalı yanıtlar verilmesi kısaca ele alınmakta; yanıt mektubunun yapısal ve etik ilkeleri tanımlanmakta ve makalenin yayımlanma sürecinde talep edilen belgelerin hazırlanmasına ilişkin pratik örnekler sunulmaktadır.
Peer review serves as a key process for maintaining the quality and reliability of scientific research. It is especially crucial in medical sciences, where research findings can impact clinical decisions and medical practice. This article briefly analyses how to provide appropriate, well-reasoned responses to reviewers' comments and recommendations, outlines the structural and ethical principles for a response letter, and gives practical examples for preparing required documents at this stage of manuscript publication.
