One of the important aspects of the publishing process is the communication with the editor. Getting in touch with the editor may be beneficial to the process in certain situations; however, excessive communication could lead to biases. The preferred language when making inquiries to editors is formal correspondence language. The author may correspond with editors regarding the evaluation and acceptance processes of the article and its publication.
