Meta-Analiz Yazımı

Sağlık alanında bilimsel yayınların hızla artması, araştırmacı ve klinisyenlerin güncel kanıtlara erişimini ve bu kanıtları klinik uygulamaya yansıtmasını giderek zorlaştırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda sistematik derleme ve meta-analizler, belirli bir araştırma sorusuna ilişkin var olan kanıtların yapılandırılmış, şeffaf ve tekrarlanabilir yöntemlerle sentezlenmesini sağlayarak kanıta dayalı tıbbın temel araçları haline gelmiştir. Ancak bu çalışmaların önemli bir bölümü, yetersiz yöntem seçimi, şeffaf olmayan süreçler ve zayıf raporlama nedeniyle eleştirilmektedir. Bu durum elde edilen sonuçların güvenilirliğini ve bilimsel değerini de azaltmaktadır.
Bu yazının amacı, araştırmacılara meta-analiz yazım sürecinde yol gösterici bir çerçeve sunmaktır. Bu yazıda, sistematik derleme ve meta-analiz yazım süreci PRISMA 2020 başta olmak üzere güncel metodolojik ve raporlama standartları çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Makalede başlık ve özetten başlayarak yöntem, veri analizi, bulgular, tartışma ve ek materyal bölümlerinin her biri için dikkat edilmesi gereken temel ilkeler sunulmuş; literatür taramasının planlanması, çalışma seçimi, yanlılık riskinin değerlendirilmesi, heterojenitenin analizi ve sonuçların şeffaf biçimde raporlanmasına yönelik öneriler paylaşılmıştır.

The rapid growth of scientific publications in the health sciences has increasingly challenged researchers and clinicians in accessing the up-to-date evidence and translating this evidence into routine clinical practice. In this context, systematic reviews and meta-analyses have become fundamental tools of evidence-based medicine by enabling the synthesis of existing evidence on a specific research question through structured, transparent, and reproducible methods. However, a substantial proportion of these studies are subject to criticism due to inadequate methodological choices, non-transparent processes, and poor reporting quality. This undermines the reliability and scientific value of the findings.
The purpose of this article is to provide researchers with a practical framework to guide the process of writing meta-analyses. This article addresses the writing process of systematic reviews and meta-analyses within the framework of current methodological and reporting standards, particularly PRISMA 2020. It presents the key principles that should be considered in each section of a manuscript—from the title and abstract through methods, data analysis, results, discussion, and supplementary material—and offers practical recommendations for planning the literature search, selecting studies, assessing risk of bias, analyzing heterogeneity, and reporting results transparently.
