In this section, the importance of acknowledging individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria but have contributed to any stage of the research in the “Acknowledgement” section is discussed. Contributions such as material or financial support provided without conflicts of interest, scientific consultancy, administrative support, writing assistance, statistical support, technical assistance, and language editing are considered within this scope. These contributions should be declared in a clear and transparent manner. In addition, the support provided by universities or independent institutions that fund research and have no conflicts of interest must be explicitly disclosed. Objectivity, transparency, and accurate reporting are among the fundamental principles of scientific research. Therefore, all stakeholders involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, and reviewers, are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest in a detailed and transparent manner. Conflicts of interest that are not properly managed may negatively affect the credibility of the scientific process and the reputation of publications. In this context, peer-reviewed journals are required to clearly define and publicly disclose their conflict of interest policies.
