Leg, Foot and Nail Diseases in The Elderly (Leg, Foot and Nail Diseases in Elderly Individuals)
Özet
Many dermatological diseases, secondary to systemic diseases, or paraneoplastic skin lesions can occur in older patients. The most common dermatological complaint in older individuals is pruritus, and the most common finding is xerosis.
During the dermatological examination of an older patient, the possibility of skin problems related to chronic diseases and skin lesions/diseases related to medications should be considered, and patients and their relatives should be questioned in detail. Due to the increased prevalence of malignancy in this age group, vigilance should be exercised regarding both primary cutaneous skin cancers, metastases, and paraneoplastic skin lesions.
This section will discuss common leg, foot, and nail diseases in older individuals.
