Ve Sonsuza Kadar Mutlu Yaşadılar: Mit mi, Gerçek mi? Evlat Edinilmiş Çocukluğa Bakış
Özet
Evlat edinme, çocukların ve ailelerinin yaşamları üzerinde kalıcı bir etkiye sahip olan önemli bir yaşam olayıdır. Bir çocuğun biyolojik ailesinden ayrılarak, anne babalık hak ve sorumluluklarının kendisine devredileceği yeni ailesine katıldığı yasal bir süreçtir. Evlat edinme tüm toplumlarda gerçekleşmektedir, ancak toplumun yapısına, yasal süreçlerine ve toplum üyelerinin ihtiyaçlarına göre farklılık göstermektedir. Evlat edinmenin çocukların yüksek yararına olmasını sağlamak için, çocukların bakış açısından evlat edinmenin nasıl bir etki yarattığını, evlat edinen ailenin bir üyesi olma sürecine ilişkin deneyimlerini ve kişisel kimliğini oluşturma süreçlerini nasıl etkilediğini anlamak önemlidir. Bu bölümde yaşam boyu gelişim bakış açısı çerçevesinde, evlat edinilmiş yetişkinlerle yapılmış çalışmaların sonuçlarına dayanarak, evlat edinilmiş yetişkinlerin deneyimleri derlenmiştir. Bu bilgiler ışığında, yaşam boyu gelişim bakış açısı ile evlat edinme deneyiminin karmaşık ve çok yönlü olduğu, evlat edinilen bireyin yaşamının her döneminde karşılaşılan yeni zorluklar sonucunda uyum süreçlerinin yeniden ve tekrar düzenlenebileceği, bireylerin her yaşta ve gelişim döneminde uygun destek ve açık iletişimle önemli ölçüde dayanıklılık ve uyum sağlayabileceği görülmektedir.
