Gut ve Böbrek Ürolitiyazis
Özet
Kanatlı hayvanlarda sık görülen ve beslenme ile yakından ilişkili olan gut ve böbrek ürolitiyazisi, önemli ekonomik kayıplara neden olan metabolik hastalıklar arasında yer almaktadır. Literatürde, bazı araştırmacılar böbrek ürolitiyazisini gutun bir alt tipi olarak değerlendirirken, bazıları ise bağımsız bir hastalık olarak sınıflandırmaktadır. Gut, böbrek fonksiyon bozukluğu, aşırı protein tüketimi, dehidratasyon, toksinlere maruz kalma ve A vitamini eksikliği gibi çeşitli faktörlerin etkisiyle, protein metabolizmasının son ürünü olan ürik asidin kristal yapılar (tofi) halinde dokularda birikmesiyle karakterizedir. Ürolitiyazis ise böbrek, üreter veya kloakada ürik asit taşlarının (urat) oluşumu ile tanımlanmaktadır. Her iki hastalık da klinik ve subklinik formlarda seyredebilmektedir. Bu bölümde, söz konusu hastalıkların etiyolojisi, klinik belirtileri, patofizyolojisi, metabolik değişiklikleri, predispozan faktörleri ve korunma yöntemleri kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alınacaktır.
