Kanatlılarda Yuvarlak Kalp Hastalığı ve Aort Yırtılması

Özet

Kanatlı hayvanlar üzerinde, özellikle broyler ve hindi hatlarında uzun yıllardır yürütülen seleksiyon çalışmaları sonucunda yüksek büyüme kapasitesine sahip genotipler elde edilmiştir. Erken dönemde kesim ağırlığına ulaşmaları amacıyla uygulanan yoğun besleme programlarıyla, aşırı hızlı büyüme gösteren ve yüksek kas dokusu oranına sahip ticari kanatlıların yetiştirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Ancak bu üretim modeli, ticari kanatlı yetiştiriciliğinde önemli ekonomik kayıplara yol açabilen yuvarlak kalp hastalığı ve aort yırtılması gibi kardiyovasküler sistemin işlev bozukluklarıyla karakterize, enfeksiyöz olmayan bazı metabolik sorunların ortaya çıkmasına zemin hazırlamaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı, kanatlılarda kardiyovasküler sistem hastalıkları arasında yer alan yuvarlak kalp hastalığı ve aort yırtılmasına ilişkin güncel bilgileri sunmak ve bu problemlerin etiyolojisi, patogenezi ve sektörel etkileri hakkında kapsamlı bir değerlendirme yapmaktır.
