Polypodiaceae (Adiantum, Asplenium, Blechnum, Crytomium, Nephrolepis, Phyllitis, Platycerium, Polypodium, Polystichum, Pteris, Pellea)
Özet
Polypodiaceae, tropik ve subtropik bölgelerde geniş yayılış gösteren, yüksek morfolojik çeşitlilik ve güçlü ekolojik uyum yeteneğiyle dikkat çeken önemli bir eğrelti otu familyasıdır. Bu bölümde, familyanın taksonomik konumu, filogenetik ilişkileri, karakteristik morfolojik özellikleri ve tercih ettiği habitat tiplerine yönelik güncel bilgiler bütüncül bir yaklaşımla sunulmuştur. Epifitik yaşam formlarının ormancılık, biyoçeşitlilik ve ekosistem işleyişi açısından kritik rolleri ele alınmış; özellikle su tutma kapasiteleri, ışık toleransı ve mikrohabitat oluşturma potansiyelleri vurgulanmıştır. Familyanın farklı coğrafyalardaki yayılış desenleri iklim değişikliği çerçevesinde değerlendirilerek potansiyel ekolojik değişimlere ilişkin çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.
