Kent Meydanları Üzerinden Toplumsal (Yeniden Üretimin İzini Sürmek: Lefebvre’nin Mekânsal Üçlü Kavramsallaştırması Bağlamında San Marco Meydanı’nın Dönüşümü
Özet
Çalışmada ilk olarak kentlerin tarihsel süreç içerisindeki dönüşümlerini yansıtma bağlamında kent meydanlarının oynadığı kritik role ilişkin kavramsal bir tartışma yürütülmüştür. Bu kavramsal tartışmanın ardından, Henri Lefebvre’in (1974) mekânın üretimi (production of space) teorisi ve mekânsal üçlü (spatial triad) kavramsallaştırması üzerine kısa bir giriş sunulmuştur. Lefebvre’in kuramsal çerçevesi, mekânın toplumsal (yeniden) üretim süreçleri içerisindeki yerini ve bu süreçlerle olan karşılıklı etkileşimini kavramak açısından önemlidir. Bu anlamda teori, San Marco Meydanı’nın tarihsel gelişimi ve toplumsal (yeniden) üretim süreçlerini anlamak için güçlü bir analitik çerçeve sunmaktadır. Çalışmanın teorik temellerinin sunulmasını takiben, San Marco Meydanı’na ilişkin bir mekânsal dönemselleştirme çalışması yapılmış ve San Marco’nun kentsel ölçekteki morfolojik değişimi, meydanın mekânsal değişimi ve toplumsal (yeniden) üretim süreçleri arasındaki ilişkiler ortaya konmuştur. Bu analizde San Marco Meydanı’nın sekiz ana dönem altında incelenmesi yoluyla, kentlerdeki toplumsal (yeniden üretim) süreçlerinin mekânsal boyutları vurgulanmış ve mekânın, toplumsal üretim süreçlerinin bir bileşeni olarak nasıl şekillendiği ve bu süreçleri nasıl etkilediği tartışılmıştır.
