Steril Cerrahi Eldiven Delinmeleri ve Önleme Yöntemleri
Özet
Kişisel koruyucu ekipmanın önemli bir parçası olan ve cerrahi ekip üyeleri için enfeksiyona maruz kalma riskini en aza indirmeyi amaçlayan steril cerrahi eldivenler cerrahi kıyafetleri tamamlayan kritik bir bileşendir. Cerrahi ekip üyelerinin cerrahi alanda işlem yaparken steril önlükler giymeleri ve steril eldiven kullanmaları önerilmektedir. Bu nedenle, cerrahi ekip üyeleri cerrahi el yıkama işlemini gerçekleştirdikten sonra steril önlükler ve eldivenler giymektedir. Steril cerrahi eldivenler cerrahi prosedürler sırasında steril ve steril olmayan alanlar arasında koruyucu bariyer olarak görev yapar. Ancak bu eldivenlerde yaşanan delinmeler hem cerrahi ekip üyeleri hem de hastalar için ciddi risk oluşturur. Steril bir eldiven delinir veya yırtılırsa, kontaminasyonu önlemek için hemen değiştirilmelidir. Steril cerrahi eldivenler evrensel steril önlemlerin temel taşı olmasına rağmen, bazı araştırmalar cerrahi prosedürler sırasında sıklıkla eldiven delinmelerinin yaşandığını göstermektedir.
