Diş Eti Büyümeleri Güncel Bakış
Özet
Diş eti büyümeleri farklı başlıklar altında kategorize edilebilir. Zayıf oral hijyen, hatalı kapanış, taşkın restorasyonlar, food impaction gibi lokal iritasyon faktörleri ve ağız solunumu, ortodontik tedavi ile kronik enflamatuar diş eti büyümeleri; gingival apse, periodontal apse, perikoronal apse ve periapikal apse gibi akut durumlarda diş eti büyümeleri görülebilmektedir. Antikonvülzan ilaçlar, kalsiyum kanal blokörleri, immünosüpresan ilaçlara bağlı olarak ve gingival fibromatozis şeklinde fibrotik dişeti büyümeleri görülür. Fibrotik dişeti büyümelerine sekonder olarak enflamatuar bir durum eşlik ettiğinde kombine diş eti büyümeleri görülebilir. Hormonal durumlar (puberte, hamilelik, oral kontraseptif kullanımı), C vitamini eksikliği, lösemi, granülomatöz hastalıkların varlığında ve benign/malign neoplastik durumlarda da diş eti büyümeleri görülebilmektedir. Bazı durumlarda ise diş etinde gerçek büyümeler olmayıp altta yatan kemik veya diş dokularında artış ile yalancı büyümeler görülebilir. Diş eti büyümelerinde öncelikle etken belirlenmeli ve etkene uygun tedavi sağlanmalıdır. Başlangıçta hastaya yapılacak iyi bir Faz 1 tedavi sonrası gerekli görülürse gingivektomi/ gingivoplasti ve flep cerrahisi uygulanabilir.
