Ergenlik Döneminde Sosyal Duygusal Gelişim (12-18)

Özet

Çocukluktan yetişkinliğe geçiş evresi olan ergenlik, birçok değişimin hızlı biçimde gerçekleşmesi ile karakterize bir yaşam dönemidir. Bu dönemde gelişimsel olarak artan risk alma ve problem davranışların önlenmesinin yanı sıra değişimlere uyum sağlanabilmesi ve iyi oluşun desteklenmesi için ergenlerin sahip olduğu sosyal duygusal beceriler önemli bir faktör olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu bölümde, ergenlik döneminde sosyal duygusal gelişim, CASEL çerçevesi kullanılarak ele alınmıştır. CASEL çerçevesinde yer alan öz farkındalık, öz yönetim, sosyal farkındalık, ilişki becerileri ve sorumlu karar verme becerilerinin ergenlik sürecinde nasıl bir değişim gösterdiği, bu becerilerin ergenlik dönemindeki belirleyicileri ve çıktıları güncel araştırmalar ışığında incelenmiştir. Bölüm boyunca ergenlik dönemine özgü fiziksel ve bilişsel özelliklerin sosyal duygusal gelişime etkisinin yanı sıra ergenliğe özgü özellikler kuramsal ve kavramsal olarak incelenmiş ve vaka örnekleriyle tartışılmıştır. Son olarak, ergenlerle yakından çalışan yetişkinlere (anne babalar, öğretmenler, psikolojik danışmanlar vb.) her bir CASEL becerisiyle ilgili olarak öneriler sunulmuştur.
