Erken Çocukluk Döneminde Sosyal Duygusal Gelişim (0-6 Yaş)

Özet

Bebeklik (0–2 yaş) ve erken çocukluk (2–6 yaş) dönemi, bireyin yaşam boyu gelişimi için kritik bir temel oluşturur. Bu dönem, hızlı fiziksel, bilişsel ve motor gelişimin yanı sıra sosyal-duygusal öğrenme (SDÖ) açısından da dönüm noktaları içerir. SDÖ alanında öne çıkan çerçevelerden biri olan CASEL çerçevesine göre çocuklar, özellikle okul öncesi yıllarda öz farkındalık, öz düzenleme, empati, sosyal farkındalık ve sorumlu karar verme gibi becerilerde belirgin ilerlemeler kaydederler. Bununla birlikte, bu becerilerin gelişimi bireysel özellikler, aile ortamı, öğretmen-çocuk ilişkileri ve okul iklimi gibi çok boyutlu faktörlerden etkilenmektedir.  Araştırmalar, erken çocuklukta desteklenen sosyal-duygusal becerilerin ileriki yaşamda akademik başarı, psikolojik iyi oluş ve sosyal uyum üzerinde uzun vadeli yansımaları olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu nedenle öğretmenlerin, ebeveynlerin ve okulların çocuklara güvenli, destekleyici ve kapsayıcı ortamlar sunması kritik önem taşımaktadır. Bu bölümde, sosyal-duygusal becerilerin gelişimsel temelleri ele alınmakta, gelişimi etkileyen faktörler tartışılmakta ve öğretmenlere, ebeveynlere, okullara ve çocukların kendilerine yönelik somut öneriler sunulmaktadır.
