Süt Sığırlarının Beslenmesi

Yazarlar

This section examines the nutritional management of dairy cows throughout various lactation stages and the dry period.  Nutrient requirements differ markedly based on milk yield, body condition, and physiological status.  In the early lactation period, cows frequently experience a negative energy balance resulting from heightened milk production and inadequate dry matter intake.  Energy-dense rations that maintain an appropriate balance of fiber and starch are essential for supporting rumen health and enhancing productivity.  Protein sources must offer a blend of rumen-degradable protein and rumen-undegradable protein to enhance microbial protein synthesis and fulfill metabolizable protein needs.  During mid- and late-lactation, it is essential to adjust energy and protein requirements in accordance with the decrease in milk production.  The aim of the ration during this period is to enhance reproductive efficiency and sustain suitable body conditions.  Feeding during the transition period is especially critical during the dry phase. To mitigate metabolic diseases including hypocalcemia, ketosis, and fatty liver, it is essential to consider the cation-anion balance of the ration, mineral bioavailability, and the presence of immune-supporting substances.
