The better a child's language skills, the more they can communicate with their environment. The richness of the environment's stimuli accelerates and positively contributes to language development. Environmental environments that enable children to express language effectively foster the development of thinking and communication skills. It can be said that early literacy skills have a spiral structure intertwined with language development and communication skills. Language development forms the basis for the development of early literacy skills, which enable children to acquire and maintain these skills. Early literacy skills begin in infancy with efforts to comprehend language and form words and are acquired through activities in the reading and writing process in early childhood. In this context, it is important to understand that early literacy skills develop from the first years of life, and experiences related to these skills over time will contribute to raising children's awareness. To support the development of language and early literacy skills, it's important for preschool teachers to include games such as spelling words, finding words that begin or end with the same sound, finding letters, word formation, finding antonyms and homophones, lowercase and uppercase letter matching games, syllable blending, and adding and removing sounds. Furthermore, to make these games engaging for children, it's crucial for teachers to diversify their activities using technology-supported language and literacy materials, encourage and model play, and understand early literacy assessment methods.
