The return to work of cancer patients is significant from individual, societal, and economic perspectives; however, patients face various challenges during this process. Due to the limitations imposed by the treatment and the disease itself, patients may struggle to perform their jobs and may even face the risk of job loss. Supportive approaches such as flexible working hours, phased return-to-work models, and rehabilitation services facilitate patients' adaptation to work during this transition. Collaboration between medical oncologists and employers is crucial in ensuring an appropriate working environment and conditions. Furthermore, policies and legal regulations supporting post-cancer employment contribute to patients regaining economic independence and enhancing their integration into society. It should not be forgotten that return to work after cancer increases the quality of life and social productivity of individuals.
