Nipple cracks are a common breastfeeding problem that causes pain and discomfort for many mothers. This condition can lead to difficulties in breastfeeding and can also lead to early cessation of breastfeeding. Nipple cracks not only affect the mother’s self-esteem, but can also increase the risk of infections such as mastitis, which can make the breastfeeding journey even more difficult. Education on breastfeeding techniques and early intervention are crucial in preventing and managing nipple cracks. This case study aims to examine the causes, risk factors and management strategies for nipple cracks during breastfeeding. It also provides insight into effective prevention and treatment methods. It also highlights the critical role of breastfeeding consultants in providing support and guidance to mothers experiencing nipple cracks.
