Enfeksiyöz Bronşitis
Özet
Enfeksiyöz bronşitis (IB), Enfeksiyöz Bronşitis Virusu (IBV)’nun neden olduğu evcil kümes hayvanlarının akut ve oldukça bulaşıcı bir hastalığıdır. Dünya çapında kümes hayvanı endüstrisinde önemli ekonomik kayıplara neden olur. IBV, tavuklarda solunum, böbrek ve üreme sistemlerini etkiler. IBV, sahada S1 proteininde yapısal farklılıklar gösteren bir koronavirus olup genotip ve serotip olarak hala yeni varyantları tanımlanmaktadır. Virusun yüksek mutasyon oranı, hastalığın kontrol altına alınmasını zorlaştırır ve mevcut aşıların etkinliğini sınırlandırır. Aşılamaya rağmen tüm dünyada yeni IBV suşları ortaya çıkmaktadır. IB enfeksiyonunun ölüm oranı düşük olsa da yumurtacı ve damızlık sürülerde üreme sistemine verdiği zarar sonucunda yumurta veriminde çok önemli düşüşlere neden olur. Ayrıca IB enfeksiyonunda sekonder bakteriyel enfeksiyonlar da yaygındır. IBV suşlarının sınıflandırılması, hastalığın kontrolünde çeşitli stratejilerin geliştirilmesi açısından önem arz etmektedir. Her coğrafi bölgede dolaşan spesifik serotiplerin/genotiplerin bilgisi, sahada dolaşan IBV suşlarının epidemiyolojisinin ve virusa ait mutasyonların belirlenmesini sağlayabilir. Virusun sürüye girmesini önlemek amacıyla sıkı biyogüvenlik önlemleri, düzenli aşılama programları ile hijyen ve sanitasyon uygulamalarını içeren enfeksiyon kontrol stratejileri bir arada kullanılmalıdır.
