Psycholinguistic Dynamics in Translation
Özet
This study explores the psycholinguistic dynamics that underpin translation processes, emphasizing the evolution of translation studies from a product-oriented to a process-oriented approach. It traces the historical shift from formal equivalence to a more nuanced understanding that incorporates cognitive science and psycholinguistics. The integration of psycholinguistic insights has revealed the cognitive and subjective nature of translation, highlighting the role of translators as expert practitioners who navigate complex linguistic, cultural, and psychological landscapes. By examining seminal works and contemporary research, this study underscores the importance of psychological analysis, decision-making processes, and sociocultural dynamics in translation. The findings suggest that effective translation requires not only linguistic proficiency but also cultural sensitivity, creativity, and critical self-awareness.
