The aging process in geriatric individuals leads to physiological changes that significantly impact oral health. Tooth loss and the need for prostheses are common among older adults, and appropriate prosthetic applications can improve masticatory function and overall quality of life. However, challenges related to prosthesis use in geriatric patients include inadequate oral hygiene, denture stomatitis, and cognitive impairments. Personalized treatment plans and multidisciplinary approaches are essential for enhancing patient satisfaction with prosthetic applications. Implant-supported prostheses offer superior functional and aesthetic outcomes compared to conventional removable dentures. Moreover, socioeconomic factors influence access to dental care services, directly affecting prosthesis use among elderly individuals. This section explores the significance of prosthetic applications in elderly patients, associated challenges, and potential solutions. Regular follow-ups, hygiene education, and advanced prosthetic solutions are recommended to enhance the quality of life in geriatric patients.
