Endodontik Tedavide İlaç Kullanımı
Özet
Odontojenik ağrı yaygın bir durumdur. Epidemiyolojik çalışmalar, dental ağrının nüfusun yaklaşık %12-14’ü tarafından bildirildiğini göstermektedir. Ağrı sistemi ve özellikleri konusundaki artan bilgi, odontojenik ağrının tanı ve tedavisinde klinik becerilerin geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunmaktadır.
Endodontik tedavi, kök kanal preparasyonu ve obtürasyonunun yanı sıra, etkili bir preoperatif, intraoperatif ve postoperatif ağrı kontrolünü de içerir. Ağrı kontrolü, hastalar için yaşam kalitelerini iyileştirdiği için çok önemlidir. Uygun ağrı kontrolü, tıbbi geçmişin alınması ve klinik ile radyolojik muayene yoluyla elde edilen doğru tanıya dayanır. Postoperatif ağrı, endodontik müdahaleyi takiben 24 saat içinde %40 oranında görülen yaygın bir durumdur ve günlerce sürebilir.
Endodontik ağrı tedavisi lokal veya sistemik olabilir. Diş hekimleri, ağrı yönetimi için sıklıkla analjezik reçeteler yazmaktadır. Her bir sistemik tedavi türünün etkinliği ve güvenliği, hastalara uygulanırken göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır.
Dental tedavilerde reçete edilen ilaçlar dünyada en çok tüketilen ilaçgrupları arasındadır. Dişhekimliğinde analjezikler ve antibiyotikler en fazla tercih edilen ilaçlardır.
Odontogenic pain is a common condition. Epidemiological studies show that dental pain is reported by approximately 12-14% of the population. The increasing knowledge about the pain system and its characteristics contributes to the development of clinical skills in diagnosing and treating odontogenic pain.
Endodontic treatment, in addition to root canal preparation and obturation, also involves effective preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative pain control. Pain management is crucial as it improves the quality of life for patients. Appropriate pain control is based on an accurate diagnosis obtained through medical history, clinical examination, and radiological assessment. Postoperative pain is a common condition, occurring in 40% of cases within 24 hours after endodontic intervention, and it can last for several days.
Endodontic pain management can be either local or systemic. Dentists frequently prescribe analgesics for pain management. The effectiveness and safety of each type of systemic treatment should be considered when applied to patients.
Medications prescribed in dental treatments are among the most consumed drug groups worldwide. Analgesics and antibiotics are the most commonly prescribed drugs in dentistry.
