Periyodik Ateş Sendromları

Özet

Periyodik ateş sendromları, belli aralıklarla ortaya çıkan ateşe ek bulguların görüldüğü hastalık grubudur. Etiyolojide enfeksiyöz ajanlar sorumlu değildir. Bu nedenle antipiretik ve antibiyotik tedaviye çoğunlukla yanıt vermezler. Sürekli hastalık tablosu ebeveynlerde endişeye sebebiyet vermesi ve kronik dönemde hastalık komplikasyonları ortaya çıkması nedeniyle mümkün olduğunca erken şüphelenilmelidir. Erken tanı ebeveynlerin endişesini azaltmakta, tekrarlayan atakların sorumlu olduğu hasarı en aza indirmektedir. Genellikle çocukluk çağında başlar ve ateşe eşlik eden karın ağrısı, eklem ağrısı, deri döküntüleri gibi semptomlar görülebilir. En sık karşılaşılan formu Ailevi Akdeniz Ateşi’dir. Tanı, klinik özellikler ve genetik testlerle doğrulanır. Tedavi, inflamasyonu kontrol altına almak amacıyla kolşisin ve biyolojik ajanların kullanımını içerir.
