İdrar Yolu Enfeksiyonu

Özet

İdrar yolu enfeksiyonları önemli morbiditeye ve hastaneye yatışlara yol açabilen yaygın bir çocukluk çağı hastalığıdır. İYE’nin yapısal ve moleküler yatkınlıklarına ilişkin bilgilerimiz, üçüncü basamak sağlık merkezlerinde ve toplumda uygulanabilecek ortak bir teşhis ve tedavi yaklaşımının geliştirilmesini mümkün kılmaktadır. Böyle bir yönetim yaklaşımı, uzun vadede böbrek hasarı riskinin azalmasına neden olabilir. Son veriler, İYE’den kaynaklanan renal skar oluşumunun, konakçının inflamatuvar yanıtı, idrar yolu anomalilerinin varlığı ve bakteriyel virülans faktörleritarafından belirlenebileceğini düşündürmektedir. İYE ve kronik piyelonefrit, tek başına KBH ve son dönem böbrek yetmezliğinin nadir fakat kontrol edilebilen bir nedenidir.
