In this chapter, some critical bacterial agents that cause infections in animals and humans, and infections caused by these agents are explained. Essential bacterial species in the genera of Corynebacterium, Brucella, and Erysipelothrix and important bacterial agents in the genera of Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, and Acholeplasma in the Mollicutes class are considered. The topics have been explained in as clear and plain language as possible. The current information, which is tried to be covered from a broad perspective and in detail, is presented systematically. Thus, the infections in question are grouped under the headings of general information, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, protection, and control. During the presentation of the infections, previous field experiences were also utilized in some topics. The topics can appeal to readers at all levels, from undergraduate students to researchers.
