Erken Çocukluk Döneminde Özel Gereksinimli Çocukların Eğitiminde Kullanılan Yardımcı Teknolojiler
Özet
Yardımcı teknoloji (YT) özel gereksinimli küçük çocukların motor, görsel, işitsel, iletişim ve öğrenme güçlüklerini telafi ederek daha bağımsız hale gelmelerini ve sosyal hayata katılımlarını artırmalarını sağlayan araç ve hizmetleri kapsar. YT cihazları ticari olarak temin edilebileceği gibi bireysel ihtiyaçlara göre uyarlanabilir veya tasarlanabilir. Yardımcı teknoloji hizmetleri ise cihazların seçimi, kullanımı ve bakımı süreçlerinde destek sağlar. YT araçları konumlandırma, taşınabilirlik ve hareket, alternatif ve destekleyici iletişim sistemleri, bilgisayar erişimi, uyarlanmış oyuncaklar ve oyunlar, günlük yaşam desteği ve öğretimsel destek olmak üzere yedi ana kategoride sınıflandırılır. Ayrıca başka bir sınıflandırmada düşük, orta ve yüksek düzey olmak üzere üç gruba ayrılır. Düşük düzey teknolojiler basit ve elektronik olmayan araçları (iletişim kartları, kalem tutacakları), orta düzey teknolojiler pil ile çalışan cihazları (konuşan kitaplar, hesap makineleri), yüksek düzey teknolojiler ise karmaşık ve elektronik tabanlı cihazları (akıllı tahtalar, tabletler, beyin-bilgisayar arayüzleri) içerir. Görme, işitme, zihinsel, fiziksel yetersizlikler ve otizm spektrum bozukluğu gibi farklı yetersizlik gruplarına yönelik YT cihazları bireylerin eğitim ve günlük yaşam becerilerini destekler. YT'nin etkili kullanımı, öğrenci, aile ve uzmanların iş birliği içinde yürüttükleri sürekli bir değerlendirme sürecini gerektirir.
