Türkiye’de Erken Çocukluk Döneminde Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu Olan Çocukların Eğitimleri

Özet

Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB), yaygın, kalıtsal ve heterojen özellikler gösteren bir nörogelişimsel bozukluk olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Sosyal iletişimde yetersizlikler ve tekrarlayıcı davranış örüntüleriyle karakterize edilen OSB, ilk kez 1943 yılında Leo Kanner tarafından gelişimsel bir bozukluk olarak tanımlanmıştır. OSB’nin etiyolojisi tam olarak aydınlatılamamış olmakla birlikte, genetik yatkınlık ve çevresel etmenlerin etkileşimi sonucu ortaya çıktığı kabul edilmektedir. Erken teşhis ve müdahale, OSB’li bireylerin gelişim süreçlerinde kritik bir rol oynamakta ve yaşam kalitelerini artırmada önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Türkiye’de OSB’li çocukların eğitimi, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından yürütülen özel eğitim hizmetleri aracılığıyla desteklenmektedir. Bu kapsamda, erken çocukluk döneminde uygulanan eğitim programları, çocukların sosyal, iletişimsel ve bilişsel becerilerini geliştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. OSB’li bireylerin gelişim süreçlerinin desteklenmesinde, davranışsal terapiler, dil öğretimi ve doğal öğretim stratejileri gibi kanıt temelli müdahalelerin kullanımı büyük önem arz etmektedir. Türkiye’de OSB tanılama sürecinde kullanılan çeşitli değerlendirme araçları, erken ve doğru tanıyı desteklemekte, bu sayede müdahale süreçlerinin daha etkili planlanmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Eğitimde uygulanan bütünleştirme modelleri ile OSB’li çocukların akranlarıyla birlikte eğitim almaları teşvik edilmekte ve bu yaklaşımlar çocukların toplumsal entegrasyonunu artırmayı amaçlamaktadır.
