The Association Between Physical Activity Participation And Social Capital, Physical Self Perceptions Among Adolescents
Özet
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between physical activity participation, social capital, and physical self-perceptions among adolescents. The research was conducted on 500 adolescents aged 15-18 in Turkey. Data on physical activity participation, social capital, and physical self-perceptions were collected through surveys. The findings showed a positive relationship between physical activity participation and social capital as well as physical self-perceptions. Additionally, it was found that social capital has a positive impact on physical self-perceptions. These results indicate that physical activity participation among adolescents can enhance social connections and contribute to positive physical self-perceptions. This study provides an important foundation for promoting adolescents' participation in physical activity and enhancing their social capital.
