Üriner Sistem Enfeksiyonları ve Hemşirelik Bakımı
Özet
Üriner sistem enfeksiyonları (ÜSE), üriner sistemin bir veya birden fazla bölgesinde mikroorganizmaların üremesi ve enfeksiyona neden olması durumudur. Üriner sistem enfeksiyonları, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan tüm ülkelerde önemli bir sağlık sorunu oluşturmakta ve bu durum tanı, tedavi maliyetlerinin artmasına, yaşam kalitesinin düşmesine, ölüm oranlarının artmasına ve iş gücü kayıplarına yol açarak ciddi bir sağlık sorunu haline gelmektedir. Bu nedenle, enfeksiyonların önlenmesi için etkenlerin, risk faktörlerinin ve önleme yöntemlerinin bilinmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Hemşirelik bakımı, bu tür enfeksiyonların yönetiminde kritik bir rol oynamakta; hastalara doğru hijyen uygulamaları, antibiyotik kullanımı ve düzenli idrara çıkma gibi önemli uygulamalar hakkında bilgi verilmesi, enfeksiyonların önlenebilmesi için yaşamsal öneme sahiptir.
Urinary tract infections (UTI) are the growth of microorganisms in one or more areas of the urinary system and cause infection. Urinary tract infections constitute a significant health problem in all developed and developing countries, and this situation leads to increased diagnosis and treatment costs, decreased quality of life, increased mortality rates and workforce losses, thus becoming a serious health problem. Therefore, it is of great importance to know the factors, risk factors and prevention methods to prevent infections. Nursing care plays a critical role in the management of such infections; informing patients about important practices such as proper hygiene practices, antibiotic use and regular urination is of vital importance to prevent infections.
