Urological robotic surgery is one of the most advanced forms of minimally invasive surgery and is widely used for prostate cancer, kidney tumours and bladder surgery. Robotic platforms such as the Da Vinci Surgical System provide surgeons with three-dimensional imaging, increased precision and less invasive procedures, resulting in faster patient recovery, less blood loss and reduced risk of complications. Nursing plays a critical role at every stage of the robotic surgery process. During surgery, nurses assist the surgical team with the placement of the robotic arms and management of instruments. In the post-operative period, they play an active role in care processes such as pain management, reducing the risk of infection and ensuring patient mobilization. In addition, nurses minimise the risk of complications by facilitating the discharge process through patient education. With the development of robotic surgery, it is important that healthcare professionals adapt to this technology and receive specific training.
