Breast MRI plays a crucial role in breast imaging, providing high sensitivity for breast cancer diagnosis when used alongside mammography and ultrasound. It is particularly effective for preoperative staging, postoperative assessment, and screening high-risk women. Magnetic resonance imaging enhances the visibility of blood vessels through the use of contrast agents, facilitating the detection of tumors. In the follow-up after neoadjuvant therapy, it is employed to evaluate treatment response, and it also plays a critical role in assessing breast structure post-reconstruction. Its ability to identify cancers that may be missed by conventional imaging methods can lead to changes in treatment plans. Overall, breast MRI is an essential tool in breast health, offering the potential for early detection and more effective treatment options.
