Adenovirüsler

Özet

Adenovirüs çift sarmallı, zarfsız DNA virüsüdür ve yedi alt cins (A’dan G’ye kadar) altında toplanan 52 farklı serotip ile insanlarda enfeksiyonlara yol açabilmektedir. Akut solunum yolu hastalıklarında etken olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca faringokonjunktival ateş, foliküler konjunktivit, epidemik keratokonjunktivit, miyokardit, hemorajik sistit, akut diyare, invajinasyon ve ensefalomiyelite de neden olmaktadır. Foliküler konjunktivit ve keretokonjunktivitin de en sık nedenidir. Dış ortama oldukça dayanıklı olan adenovirüs doğrudan temas, aerosoller ve kontamine eşyalar ile temasla bulaşır.
Bu bölümde bu virüsün mikrobiyolojik özelliklerini, oluşturduğu enfeksiyonları, enfeksiyonların tanı, tedavisi ve enfeksiyonlarından korunma yolları ele alınacaktır.
