Haemophilus ve Bordetella
Özet
Haemophilus’lar, Pasteurellaceae ailesine ait Gram-negatif kok veya kokobasil morfolojisinde ve çoğunlukla ağız boşluğu, solunum yolu mukozası ile insan ve hayvanların genital bölgelerinde kolonize olan bakteri türleridir.
Haemophilus cinsinin en önemli ve baskın türü olan H. influenzae pnömoni, orta kulak iltihabı, menenjit, septik artrit ve bakteriyemi gibi birçok enfeksiyona neden olma yetenekleriyle bilinmektedir. Bordetella üyeleri ise insanlar da dahil olmak üzere çeşitli memelilerden izole edilen küçük gram-negatif kokobasil morfolojisinde bakterilerdir. Özellikle, B. pertussis ve B. parapertussis insanda solunum yolu patojenleridir. Bordetella bronchiseptica ise köpeklerde ve domuzlarda enfektif öksürüğe neden olduğu ve bazen insanları da enfekte edebildiği bilinmektedir.
