Meslek Hastalıkları Epidemiyolojisinde Dezavantajlı Gruplar
Özet
Meslek hastalıkları, bireylerin iş yerlerinde karşılaştıkları fiziksel, kimyasal, biyolojik ve ergonomik risk faktörleri sonucu ortaya çıkan sağlık sorunlarını kapsamaktadır. Çeşitli meslek gruplarında yaygın görülen bu hastalıklar, iş gücünün verimliliğini düşürmekte, iş sağlığı güvenliğini azaltmakta ve işe maruziyet sonucu oluşan tedaviye yönelik sağlık maliyetlerini artırmaktadır. Meslek hastalıklarının toplum sağlığına etkilerini incelerken, bazı çalışan gruplarının diğerlerine kıyasla daha dezavantajlı durumda olduğu görülmektedir. Dezavantajlı gruplar, iş yerinde yüksek sağlık riskleri ile karşı karşıya kalan ve bu risklerin olumsuz sonuçlarına karşı daha kırılgan olan çalışanları kapsamaktadır.
Occupational diseases include health problems that occur as a result of physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic risk factors that individuals encounter at work. These diseases, which are common in various occupational groups, reduce the productivity of the workforce, reduce occupational health and safety, and increase health costs related to treatment resulting from exposure to work. When examining the effects of occupational diseases on public health, it is seen that some groups of employees are more disadvantaged than others. Disadvantaged groups include employees who face high health risks at work and are more vulnerable to the negative consequences of these risks.
