Kadınların Kendi Potansiyeli İle Annelik Yapma ve Anne Olma Deneyimi
Özet
Bu çalışma sevgi, şefkat ve özveri temelinde anneliğin doğal ve içgüdüsel olduğunu ortaya koyan özcü yaklaşımları eleştirerek, kadınların kendi potansiyeli ile annelik yapma deneyimini tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Annelik bir kurum olarak işleyerek çeşitli söylemlerin, kültürel pratiklerin ve sosyal düzenlenmelerin etkisi altında inşa edilmekte ve annelik rolü üzerinden kadınların yaşamı kontrol edilmektedir. Annelik; evrensel, değişmez ve tarih aşırı olmayıp, toplumsal yapıya içkin olan değerlerden, normlardan, toplumsal cinsiyetin yarattığı tahakküm ilişkilerinden ve en önemlisi tarihsel bağlamından bağımsız tartışılamaz. Bu bağlamda ataerkillik anneliği normatif olarak düzenleyen ve kurumsallaştıran en önemli yapılardan biridir. Bu yapı toplumsal cinsiyet ilişkileri içinde erkeklerin lehine bir sistem kurmakta, kadının bedenine, üreme biçimine, kamusal ve özel yaşamın nasıl tesis edileceğine kadar birçok alana tezahür eden baskın bir ideoloji olmaktadır. Dolasıyla ataerkil ideolojinin yarattığı güç ve tahakküm ilişkileri içinde bir kurum olarak inşa edilen anneliğin, kadınların potansiyelini sınırlayan ve sınırlandıran baskıcı bir yapı olarak nasıl işlediğini irdelemek çalışmanın temel amacı arasında yer almaktadır. Buna karşın çalışma, feminist yazın içinde yer alan “kadının kendi potansiyeli ile annelik yapma” ve “anne olma deneyimini” merkeze koymaktadır. Kadınların potansiyellerini gerçekleştirmesi; anneliği keyifli, özgürleştirici ve güçlendirici bir deneyim haline getirmektedir.
This study criticises essentialist approaches that assert that motherhood is natural and instinctive on the basis of love, compassion and self-sacrifice, and opens to discussion women's experience of motherhood with their own potential. Motherhood is shaped by various discourses, cultural practices, and social regulations, controlling women's lives. It is not a universal or timeless concept and cannot be separated from the values, norms, and historical context in which it exists. Patriarchy plays a key role in regulating and institutionalizing motherhood, establishing a system that favors men and influences areas such as women's bodies, reproduction, and the boundaries between public and private life. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to examine how motherhood, which is constructed as an institution within the relations of power and domination created by patriarchal ideology, functions as an oppressive structure that limits and restricts the potential of women. On the contrary, it puts ‘motherhood with the woman's own potential’ and ‘the experience of being a mother’ at the centre of feminist literature. The realization of women's potential transforms motherhood into a deeply enriching experience, making it not only pleasant but also liberating and empowering.
